About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The role also includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards before each shift and complying with all company, state, and federal regulations while on the road. Key duties include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and reporting any safety issues. Drivers follow assigned route sheets, operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of refuse at designated facilities, and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedure. They also monitor for spills, clean affected areas, and continually keep the truck clean and operational to minimize downtime. Drivers must complete required route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other documentation while maintaining required productivity standards. They interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers, adhere to safety policies, and actively participate in the ReSOP program.

What You Bring

The position requires a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement, strong customer‑service skills, good time‑management, and the ability to follow company policies and safety standards.
