About the Role
The Assistant Property Manager for Cedar Crest will maintain the multifamily community to a market‑ready standard and ensure high‑level service at all times. This role also involves building and motivating high‑performing teams to maximize property performance. In a fast‑paced environment, the Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager with day‑to‑day operations, including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. They also provide superior customer service to residents and prospects, complete lease paperwork to company standards, and track advertising and client traffic. • Ensure smooth community operations in a fast‑paced environment. • Assist the Property Manager with maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. • Provide superior customer service to residents and prospects to boost satisfaction, renewals, revenue, and reputation. • Complete lease and renewal paperwork according to company standards. • Track and evaluate advertising effectiveness and client traffic. • Uphold the Cushman & Wakefield mission and enforce company policies. • Oversee on‑site staff through interviewing, hiring, coaching, and policy compliance. • Maintain resident files in line with corporate standards. • Resolve resident conflicts promptly with consistent follow‑up. • Manage community budget and overall finances. • Collaborate with leasing staff to achieve leasing and marketing goals. • Perform office, bookkeeping, and sales tasks while setting leasing goals and improving staff performance. • Supervise daily team operations and enforce C&W procedures.

What You Bring
Key competencies include effective communication, strong customer service, proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools, and solid office, bookkeeping, and sales skills. The role requires setting leasing goals, coaching staff, supervising daily team activities, and ensuring adherence to Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (a bachelor's degree is preferred), at least three years of property management experience and one year of management experience. The position operates in a professional office setting, requires travel up to 15% between properties, and involves physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lb, and working in various weather conditions. • Demonstrate effective communication and strong customer service skills. • Proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite and navigate the internet. • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively. • Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Experience: 3+ years in property management; 1+ year in management. • Work environment: professional office with standard equipment; travel up to 15% between properties. • Physical demands: stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, ascend stairs, work in varied weather conditions.
