Machinist II, 1st shift

About the Role

The role involves working from process sheets, blueprints, setup cards, and verbal or written instructions to operate CNC lathes and mills. Responsibilities include installing or re‑cutting chuck jaws, securing tooling in machine turrets, loading programs, making minor programming adjustments, and performing machining operations within tight tolerances. You will also inspect your own work, document results, and may be required to inspect the work of other machinists and operate multiple machines. • Perform CNC machining operations following detailed setup documentation. • Install and adjust chuck jaws, secure tooling, and load machine programs with minor adjustments. • Inspect own work for quality compliance and document results; also review fellow machinists' output when required. • Operate multiple machines, rotate between departments, and enter production data into the ERP system. • Load and unload component parts up to 25 lb, handle material up to 50 lb, and remain standing throughout the shift. • Maintain reliable attendance with minimal call‑offs and meet the high school education or equivalent requirement.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least two years of experience operating CNC lathe or mill machines and be proficient in setup procedures. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to perform basic math, read English work instructions and blueprints, and demonstrate reliable attendance. The position demands moderate physical effort, including inserting tooling, setting up work centers, and inspecting workpieces. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an entire shift. • Leverage at least two years of CNC experience and proficiently read English blueprints and perform basic calculations.
