About the Role

In this role you will oversee a team of Train Presentation Supervisors and contract cleaning crews, ensuring compliance with the TSA cleaning contract and maintaining high standards for both internal and external train cleaning. You will conduct audits, manage KPI reporting, and coordinate material and staff planning to meet operational requirements while supporting other depot locations as needed. • Lead and manage Train Presentation Supervisors, contract cleaning teams, and other cleaning staff. • Ensure compliance with TSA contract cleaning standards. • Conduct internal and external cleaning assessments, audits, and in‑process checks. • Oversee KPI cleaning regime, record failures, and produce reports. • Coordinate material and staff planning to meet cleaning requirements. • Train and certify cleaning personnel on procedures and IT systems. • Maintain health and safety standards, promote HSE awareness, and report incidents. • Manage contracted cleaning activities for GWR Hitachi fleets. • Support other depot locations as directed by the TP Manager. • Develop stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement in cleaning quality.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings proven management experience in a transport or railway environment, strong knowledge of industrial vehicle cleaning practices, and a commitment to health and safety. Excellent communication, team leadership, and report‑writing skills are essential, along with solid intermediate IT abilities using tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. • Proven management experience in a transport or railway environment. • Strong knowledge of industrial vehicle cleaning practices and KPI regimes. • Excellent team leadership, communication, and report‑writing abilities. • Competence with IT tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and cleaning data systems. • Good health and safety awareness, including waste management and recycling. • Optional: IOSH, COSHH, manual handling certification. • Optional: Experience with SAP, subcontractor management, and cleaning technology.
