About the Role
The manager will integrate design, scheduling, budgeting, and interdisciplinary team coordination while ensuring compliance with federal and state bridge project requirements, safety plans, and quality assurance processes. Responsibilities include preparing reports and presentations, negotiating scope changes, and acting as the company representative with clients and subcontractors. Key duties involve leading weekly status meetings, monitoring milestones, addressing cost overruns or schedule delays, and maintaining current change orders. The manager also markets and secures additional work with existing clients and may engage with regulatory agencies and public meetings as needed. • Lead design involvement and coordinate interdisciplinary bridge and structure project teams. • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and senior personnel through reports, presentations, and meetings. • Manage project scope changes, negotiate with clients and subcontractors, and maintain timely change orders. • Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and execution plans to ensure projects meet cost, schedule, and quality goals. • Ensure compliance with federal and state bridge project requirements, including safety, QA/QC, and regulatory approvals. • Prepare and distribute concise project descriptions and execution plans to the project team. • Conduct weekly status meetings, monitor milestones, and report progress to management. • Market and secure additional work with existing clients.

Parsons is hiring a skilled Bridge Project Manager for its Indianapolis team, joining the Critical Infrastructure group that designs and delivers major regional infrastructure projects. The role focuses on overseeing multiple bridge and structure projects supporting state road and highway initiatives. Candidates must hold a four‑year civil engineering (or related) degree, be a licensed Professional Engineer, and possess at least 12 years of bridge and structures engineering design management experience, preferably in Indiana. A broad technical and business background, strong written and oral communication skills, and proven management capability are required. • Hold a civil engineering degree and be a licensed PE. • Minimum 12 years of bridge/structures design management experience, preferably in Indiana. • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, lead teams, and interface with clients. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Broad technical and business knowledge of industry standards.
