About the Role
This role is responsible for designing fire and security systems—including fire alarms, access control, intruder alarms, and CCTV—according to account standards. The engineer will act as the primary interface with customers, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet technical specifications. Responsibilities include independent hardware detail design, engineering, application development, and performing calculations such as battery sizing and voltage drops, as well as creating templates for complex systems and project‑specific standards. The position also monitors work scope against project plans, manages change control, identifies risks and opportunities, and guarantees that engineered solutions comply with functional, quality, and QMS requirements while seeking continuous improvement. • Design fire and security systems (fire alarm, access control, intruder alarm, CCTV) per account standards. • Serve as primary customer interface to ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and technical specifications. • Perform independent hardware detail design, engineering, application development, battery sizing, and voltage‑drop calculations. • Create templates for complex systems and develop project‑specific standards. • Review control narratives, logic diagrams, and I/O matrices; monitor work scope, change control, and risk/opportunity identification. • Ensure engineered solutions comply with functional, quality, documentation, and QMS requirements. • Identify and implement improvement opportunities; optimize engineering man‑hours using engineering tools.

What You Bring
This position requires a Diploma or BE in Electrical/Electronics and 3–8 years of fire and security system design experience. Candidates must possess strong fire code and security domain knowledge, with NICET or BS 5839 certifications considered an advantage, and be proficient in AutoCAD and effective communication. Global customer‑facing experience and the ability to work independently using established standards and best practices are essential. • Hold a Diploma/BE in Electrical/Electronics with 3–8 years fire & security design experience. • Possess fire code and security domain knowledge; NICET/BS 5839 certifications are a plus. • Proficient in AutoCAD and possess strong communication skills.
