About the Role
As a member of the verification and validation team you will conduct end‑to‑end R&D testing of bay‑level substation solutions and support associated software tools. You will also enhance verification and validation processes by introducing innovative automation paradigms and tools. Your impact will include verifying and validating substation automation products, developing and adapting test cases, executing black‑box testing, and reporting defect logs. You will work closely with product stakeholders, management and developers to ensure consistent and maintainable integration of subsystems, while complying with internal and external regulations and upholding Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values. • Verify and validate substation automation products. • Design, code, and execute black‑box tests for software modules. • Develop adaptive test cases based on system and product requirements. • Log, report, and verify defects identified during testing. • Collaborate with product stakeholders, management, analysts, and developers. • Ensure modular, maintainable integration of subsystems meeting specifications. • Maintain compliance with external and internal regulations and guidelines. • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity core values.

What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 3–8 years of practical experience in substation automation, including protection and communication protocols. Candidates should have knowledge of computer networks and OSI layers, be proficient in Python, Java or C#, and understand the Agile software development lifecycle. Effective written and spoken English communication skills are essential. • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. • Possess 3–8 years of experience in substation automation and protection protocols. • Knowledge of computer networks, OSI layers and related protocols. • Proficiency in Python, Java or C# programming languages. • Familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle. • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
