About the Role
As an Assistant Diesel Mechanic you will service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers nationwide, working on diesel and growing CNG fleets with modern tools and procedures to ensure reliable operation. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Conduct safety checks on all vehicles • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics with project work • Review and address repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with Corporate/OSHA standards

What You Bring
• No prior experience required • Valid driver's license • Eligibility to work in the United States • Ability to meet physical demands with or without accommodations • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively • Determined problem solver • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constant standing, walking, grasping; occasional sitting and balancing • Regular exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals • Regular exposure to dirt, odors, noise, extreme weather • Work both indoors (garage/shop) and outdoors in inclement conditions
