About the Role

The Computational Design Lead – Master Planning will be based in Dubai, UAE, and will lead the integration of advanced digital design tools and automation across multidisciplinary teams on large‑scale urban and regional master planning projects. • Lead development and integration of computational design strategies for large‑scale master planning and urban design projects. • Collaborate with urban designers, landscape architects, and planners to create parametric and data‑driven design frameworks for feasibility and scenario planning. • Build automation solutions and digital workflows using Python, C#, Grasshopper, and Dynamo to accelerate repetitive tasks. • Create custom toolkits and plugins for Revit, Civil3D, Rhino, Bentley, and ESRI tailored to planning and infrastructure projects. • Apply AI/ML techniques to spatial analysis, generative design, land‑use optimization, energy modeling, and demographic clustering. • Design data dashboards and spatial analytics tools to visualize KPIs, phasing, zoning, and infrastructure dependencies. • Champion the Digital Master Planning agenda, guiding emerging technology adoption, data standards, and digital delivery processes. • Mentor junior team members and grow internal digital capabilities. • Lead stakeholder engagements to demonstrate computational design value and secure buy‑in. • Manage governance for tool deployment, including cybersecurity, licensing, documentation, training, and performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with ISO and BIM protocols.

What You Bring

• Minimum 10 + years of computational design experience with urban, landscape, or master‑planning projects. • Bachelor’s in Planning, Urban Design, Computer Science (Master’s preferred). • Proven leadership in automation and parametric design within multidisciplinary teams. • Expert knowledge of Revit API, Civil3D API, RhinoCommon API or similar SDKs. • Advanced proficiency in Python, C#, and scripting in Dynamo or Grasshopper. • Hands‑on experience with Autodesk, Rhino, Bentley, and ESRI platforms. • Experience integrating geospatial data and GIS tools into design workflows. • Demonstrated application of AI/ML in spatial design, simulations, or predictive modeling. • Strong understanding of urban development processes, sustainability metrics, zoning regulations, and planning policies. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. • Experience with BIM and Common Data Environment ecosystems (preferred). • Experience on large‑scale masterplans in the Middle East, Asia, or Africa. • Familiarity with Forma or similar site‑planning and environmental analysis tools. • Knowledge of Smart City and Digital Twin strategies. • Understanding of ISO 19650 and digital project delivery frameworks.
