About the Role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager by overseeing daily operations, financial functions, and risk management for the housing community. This role handles rent delinquency and collections, manages personnel, leasing, maintenance, and administrative tasks, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety, and fair‑housing guidelines. • Post payments, reconcile receivables, monitor bad debt, and handle evictions and month‑end closing. • Apply resident charges, utility bill‑backs, conduct unit walk‑throughs, and process security‑deposit refunds. • Recruit, train, coach, and supervise onsite staff while ensuring adherence to company policies. • Drive leasing activities, implement marketing plans, address resident concerns, and run retention programs. • Oversee maintenance requests, maintain property appearance, and manage vendor contracts cost‑effectively. • Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb, climbing ladders, and working overtime or emergency shifts.

What You Bring

Candidates need a High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred) and may have two years of housing‑industry experience or related training.
