Automatic Door Technician

About the Role

The current opening is for an Automatic Door Service Technician. The role involves servicing, repairing, and replacing a wide range of automatic, manual, swing, folding, sliding and storefront doors, as well as related hardware such as ADA operators, door closers, panic devices and pivot assemblies. Key responsibilities include performing repairs and replacements, conducting preventative maintenance, framing partitions with metal or wood studs, installing doors and windows, and delivering high‑quality service in a fast‑paced environment, both independently and as part of a team. • Service, repair, and replace ADA operators, manual, swing, folding, sliding, and storefront doors. • Maintain and service door hardware including closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, and emergency exit devices. • Perform carpentry tasks such as partition framing with metal/wood studs and door/window installation. • Conduct preventative maintenance on commercial and automatic door systems. • Manage multiple projects while meeting time constraints and adhering to detail‑oriented processes. • Provide professional, customer‑focused service both independently and in team settings.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least two years of experience as an automatic‑door installer or service technician, strong mechanical and carpentry skills, and a clean driving record. AAADM certification is preferred, and familiarity with manufacturers such as Horton, Stanley, Record USA, Besam and Assa Abloy is a plus. The ability to manage multiple projects, work under time constraints, and maintain a professional, customer‑focused attitude is essential. • Meet minimum qualifications: 2+ years automatic‑door experience, strong mechanical aptitude, clean driving record; AAADM certification preferred. • Familiarity with door brands (Horton, Stanley, Record USA, Besam, Assa Abloy) considered a plus.
