About the Role

• Assemble non‑Marine & Defense sub‑assemblies, rotating groups, pumps, and motors with precise tolerances. • Complete required quality and customer documentation on reports. • Troubleshoot and repair REO and failed test‑stand pumps and motors to full operational status. • Set up and operate assembly department test stands, often handling two automated stands independently. • Read and interpret test procedures, gauges, and record data for quality reports. • Interpret hydraulic schematics, pressure gauges, strip recorders, and “х‑y” plots; read assembly and component prints and maintenance manuals. • Perform cleaning and packing for rotating group processing. • Use hand tools and measurement instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers) to verify dimensional requirements. • Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas to required assembly standards.

What You Bring

Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Eaton’s Jackson, MS facility; no relocation benefits are provided. The role requires compliance with ITAR, so only U.S. persons as defined by ITAR may be considered. • Hold a high school diploma or GED (or an associate degree in Precision Manufacturing and Machining Technology). • Possess at least two years of mechanical assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting experience in manufacturing, military, or aviation environments. • Be eligible to work with ITAR‑controlled information; must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR.

Benefits

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembly and Test Technician. The position offers an hourly rate of $22.40 plus a $1.00 shift differential for a 3:30 pm – 12:00 am shift. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.
