About the Role

The Production Manager oversees fabrication teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for optimizing production efficiency, coaching team members, and collaborating across departments to meet customer and company objectives. This role ensures safe and efficient operations in designated areas. Seeking a dynamic, motivated leader with a focus on execution, problem‑solving, and team motivation. • Lead and manage yard and shipping teams, including supervisors, leads, and operators, to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals. • Oversee daily yard and shipping operations such as material staging, loading, unloading, storage, and shipment preparation. • Provide active feedback on safety, quality, timeliness, cost, and operational impact. • Coach, train, and mentor team members to improve skills, performance, and engagement. • Maintain a clean, organized work environment by upholding 5S standards and promoting continuous improvement. • Enforce all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. • Monitor and analyze KPIs including production output, on‑time delivery, labor efficiency, scrap/rework rates, and safety incidents. • Maintain accurate documentation for all assigned projects and areas. • Partner with operations, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve processes. • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production schedules. • Work in an outdoor yard and steel fabrication environment exposed to weather, noise, heat, and heavy industrial equipment. • Perform frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs as needed.

What You Bring

• Demonstrate proven leadership skills with a positive, solutions‑focused attitude. • Possess 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, steel fabrication, shipping, or yard operations. • Exhibit excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities. • Apply knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. • Use required PPE at all times.
