About the Role

The Senior Consultant, Advisory & Consulting – Digital & Security reports to the General Manager and works within KBR’s Global Advisory & Consulting team. The role collaborates closely with the organization’s extensive engineering, technology, and scientific resources. The successful candidate will lead digital and security projects, overseeing studies from concept through pilot, and will support the group’s sales effort through proposal and tender preparation, contract negotiation, and client interfacing activities. In this position you will lead cybersecurity and AI/ML consulting engagements for defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure clients, assessing vulnerabilities in AI‑enabled defense platforms, autonomous systems, and mission‑critical networks. You will advise on secure system architecture and threat modeling for national security applications, support AI governance and cyber‑resilience strategies, and integrate AI security frameworks such as NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 23894 into system design and operational workflows. Evaluating risks in neural networks, deep‑learning, and reinforcement‑learning models used in sensitive environments and providing technical guidance on secure deployment of AI platforms across hybrid cloud, edge, and embedded environments are also key responsibilities. The role benefits from the ability to conduct technical due diligence for M&A, infrastructure, and energy‑transition projects, as well as assess cyber‑physical risks in offshore, near‑shore, and terrestrial energy systems. You will deliver bespoke consulting solutions by coordinating cross‑functional teams in cybersecurity, engineering, and data science, support the secure integration of sustainable fuels, gas infrastructure, and digital control systems, and lead and mentor technical teams in high‑stakes interdisciplinary environments. Communicating complex technical concepts to defense stakeholders, policymakers, and non‑technical audiences, and collaborating with government, military, and industry partners to align cybersecurity and AI strategies with national priorities are essential components of the job. • Lead cybersecurity and AI/ML consulting engagements for defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure clients. • Assess and mitigate vulnerabilities in AI-enabled defense platforms, autonomous systems, and mission‑critical networks. • Advise on secure system architecture, threat modeling, and AI governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 23894. • Integrate AI security standards into design and operational workflows across hybrid cloud, edge, and embedded environments. • Conduct technical due diligence for M&A, infrastructure, and energy‑transition projects. • Evaluate cyber‑physical risks in offshore, near‑shore, and terrestrial energy systems and support secure integration of sustainable fuels. • Lead and mentor interdisciplinary technical teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions. • Communicate complex technical concepts to defense stakeholders, policymakers, and non‑technical audiences.
