About the Role
The Installation and Service Technician role supports the fire protection and security business by troubleshooting, repairing and programming fire alarm, security and access control systems. Responsibilities include panel reprogramming, device replacement, low‑voltage circuit repair, system testing, and timely completion of all required documentation. The position also requires on‑call and after‑hours work to meet customer needs. • Troubleshoot, repair and program fire alarm, security and access control system panels. • Perform panel reprogramming, device replacement, low‑voltage circuit repairs and system testing. • Document tasks, activity and productivity promptly. • Provide on‑call and after‑hours support; flexible scheduling including weekends.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least five years of experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems, and a valid fire alarm license. Required skills include reading blueprints, strong written and verbal communication, customer service, ability to lift 50‑70 lb, and working at heights up to 40 feet. Preferred qualifications are NICET Level II, technical training, and certifications such as CCNA, A+ or Network+. • Minimum requirements: high school diploma, 5+ years relevant experience, fire alarm license, blueprint interpretation. • Desired qualifications: NICET Level II, CCNA/A+/Network+ certifications, technical training. • Physical ability to lift 50‑70 lb and work at heights up to 40 ft using ladders or scaffolding. • Valid driver’s license meeting company standards.
