About the Role

In this role you will design electrical building systems that enhance safety, performance, and sustainability for commercial, institutional, and mixed‑use projects. You will deliver power distribution, lighting, fire‑alarm, and life‑safety designs from concept through construction, apply energy‑efficient principles, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to produce accurate drawings, reports, and specifications while supporting onsite reviews and construction. • Design electrical building systems for safety, performance, and sustainability. • Produce power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and life‑safety designs from concept to construction. • Apply energy‑efficient principles to meet client sustainability goals. • Collaborate with mechanical, structural, sustainability, and architectural teams. • Prepare accurate engineering drawings, technical reports, and specifications. • Support onsite reviews, inspections, and construction to ensure design intent.

What You Bring

Candidates should have hands‑on experience or co‑op exposure to electrical building systems, be familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software, and be comfortable with site reviews and contractor coordination. Eligibility for EIT registration in British Columbia or equivalent design experience is required, along with a strong passion for safer, energy‑efficient buildings. • Hands‑on experience or co‑op exposure to lighting, power, and life‑safety systems. • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software. • Ability to conduct site reviews and coordinate with contractors. • Eligibility for EIT registration in British Columbia or equivalent design experience.
