About the Role
You will oversee the full project lifecycle—from planning and design through construction—while building trusted client relationships, coordinating with municipal and regulatory agencies, managing budgets, schedules, and quality, conducting site inspections, mentoring emerging professionals, and contributing to proposal development. • Lead planning, design, and execution of municipal water, wastewater, drainage, roadway, and site‑servicing projects for public and private clients. • Guide multidisciplinary teams through conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases, ensuring excellence and innovation. • Build and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor from project initiation to completion. • Collaborate with municipal, utility, and regulatory agencies to navigate planning and approval processes. • Oversee budgets, schedules, scope, and project quality to achieve successful outcomes. • Conduct site inspections and provide technical oversight during construction activities. • Mentor emerging professionals within the Calgary municipal design practice. • Contribute to proposal development, including scope definition, fee development, and RFP response strategy.

What You Bring
The role requires 10‑15+ years of municipal infrastructure experience, a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, an active Alberta P.Eng., and strong knowledge of provincial permitting and standards; experience designing water, sanitary, stormwater, and roadway systems and a PMP certification are assets, and a valid driver’s licence is required. • 10–15+ years delivering municipal infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and active P.Eng. designation in Alberta. • Proven ability to lead complex municipal engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams. • Strong knowledge of Alberta municipal processes, permitting pathways, and infrastructure standards; mountain‑region experience is an asset. • Experience designing water, sanitary, stormwater, and roadway systems. • PMP certification considered an asset. • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to perform site‑based work.
