About the Role
The position maintains a clean and orderly building environment, performing heavy cleaning and routine maintenance, reporting repair needs, and managing exterior debris such as snow and sidewalk accumulation. • Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after hours and checking electrical appliance use to prevent hazards. • Service, clean, and supply restrooms. • Gather and empty trash. • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. • Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage to floors and fixtures. • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. • Notify managers of major repairs or additions to building operating systems. • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment and performing other duties as required. • Plan work and select proper tools. • Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects.

What You Bring
Applicants may need a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in building maintenance or a related field. The role requires knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures, reliance on instructions, and work under immediate supervision with limited independent judgment. It reports to a supervisor or manager. Physical demands include standing (50%), walking (30%), and sitting (20%) with the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb and push/pull 70 ft‑lb. Employees must also be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and finger as required by the job. • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
