About the Role
The Service Technician assists in repairing and overhauling refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, ensuring timely and accurate service that exceeds customer expectations. Responsibilities include general repairs on compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices, performing preventative maintenance, testing systems, maintaining work records, processing job tickets, and supporting logistical tasks such as case delivery and minor construction projects while safely operating a company vehicle. • Assist in repair and overhaul of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment. • Service compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and mechanical/electrical control devices safely and efficiently. • Perform general repairs on AC units, condensers, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electric motors. • Diagnose equipment issues and execute preventative maintenance tasks. • Test malfunctioning systems using electrical and mechanical expertise. • Maintain accurate work history records and promptly process job tickets. • Provide logistical support by picking up, delivering, and installing cases. • Execute minor construction and remodeling work, including new installation startups. • Operate company vehicle in a safe manner.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, EPA certification, and at least five years of commercial refrigeration experience, including work with CO₂ systems. Experience in convenience‑store or supermarket environments, familiarity with single and rack systems, a clean driving record, on‑call availability, and the ability to lift 60 lb and stand or sit for extended periods are required. • Hold a high school diploma/GED and EPA certification. • Possess 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, including CO₂ systems. • Experience with convenience‑store or supermarket refrigeration equipment is a plus. • Familiarity with single and rack systems, display cases, and walk‑in boxes. • Maintain a good driving record and be able to lift up to 60 lb. • Availability for emergency on‑call service.
