About the Role

The General Manager will lead all aspects of the division, including volume growth, profitability, marketing, inventory, installation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards, while traveling up to 50% of the time in the first year and approximately 25% thereafter to store locations across six states. Key duties involve developing sales strategies for worktools and attachments, managing costs and pricing, partnering with marketing on campaigns and trade shows, maintaining optimal inventory levels, providing technical support to sales and service teams, and driving digital transformation through CRM and analytics tools. • Oversee volume growth, profitability, marketing, inventory, installation, and safety compliance for the Worktools division. • Develop and execute sales strategies for worktools and attachments, tracking KPI‑driven revenue and margin improvement. • Control costs related to trades, rentals, repairs, depreciation, and installation; optimize pricing and manufacturer programs. • Partner with marketing to create campaigns, website content, store displays, and trade‑show promotions. • Maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce aged stock, and manage component inventory processes. • Provide competitive data, pricing, and technical expertise to sales and service teams. • Lead continuous training for customer‑facing staff and service teams across in‑person, online, and field formats. • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring support for sales, technical, parts, and warranty needs. • Supervise installation cost management, conduct audits, and enforce best‑practice safety standards. • Drive digital adoption of CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), analytics, and other tools for efficiency and data‑driven decisions. • Build strong relationships with Sales and Service Managers via regular visits across six states. • Deliver performance updates to senior leadership, highlighting growth drivers and corrective actions. • Mentor and develop a high‑impact team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), have at least three years of heavy‑equipment sales experience, proven leadership with supervisory and P&L responsibilities, strong financial and analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics CRM; certifications such as Six Sigma or PMP are preferred. • Travel up to 50% in year 1 and ~25% thereafter to stores and meetings. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum 3 years of heavy‑equipment sales experience, preferably in parts and service. • Proven leadership with supervisory experience and P&L management. • Strong financial acumen, budgeting, forecasting, and data‑analytics proficiency. • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and digital platforms. • Preferred certifications: Six Sigma, PMP. • Valid driver’s license with a clean record and mechanical aptitude for hydraulic/electrical systems.

Benefits
