About the Role
Apply to our Product Engineering Internship! The Product Engineer Intern assists the Maintenance of Line (MoL) Engineering team by providing sustaining engineering support for overhead and underground medium‑voltage reclosers, fault interrupters, and switches. The role works under experienced engineers to perform analysis, create detailed designs, execute verification tests, and contribute to cost‑saving and improvement projects. The intern will develop, sustain, and improve product design data such as bills of materials, 3D models, drawings, and specifications. They will aid in the introduction of new products and changes to existing ones, support production and manufacturing engineering in resolving production and testing issues, and learn Design for Manufacture/Assembly (DFM/DFA) methods. Additionally, the intern will apply engineering analysis and simulation tools, including CAD, FEA, and statistical software. • Develop and maintain product design data (BOMs, 3D models, drawings, specifications). • Assist with new product introductions and modifications to existing products. • Support production and manufacturing engineering to resolve production and testing issues. • Learn and apply Design for Manufacture/Assembly (DFM/DFA) principles. • Use engineering analysis and simulation tools such as CAD, FEA, and statistical software.

What You Bring
Candidates must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited institution, graduating no earlier than December 2026, with a minimum GPA of 2.8 (3.2 for those with prior internship experience). Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the South Milwaukee, WI site; relocation is not offered. Preferred experience includes 3D modeling, hands‑on prototype building, and prior internship or co‑op experience. • Enrolled in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s or master’s program (graduation ≥ Dec 2026). • Minimum GPA 2.8 (3.2 with prior internship experience). • Reside within 50 mi of South Milwaukee, WI; no relocation provided. • Prior internship/co‑op experience; 3D modeling and prototype building skills preferred.
