About the Role
The Plant Manager plays a critical leadership role in transforming a successful business into a high‑performing lean manufacturing organization. This strategic, hands‑on position is responsible for building a strong multidisciplinary team, driving continuous improvement, and delivering measurable results in safety, quality, efficiency, and overall performance. The Plant Manager’s responsibilities blend strategic oversight with hands‑on involvement, including coaching and developing team members, managing performance metrics, and contributing to plant budgeting. The role also requires close coordination with the vice president of manufacturing to provide tactical input on project support and execution. • Transition the business into a high‑performing lean manufacturing organization. • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools to achieve quantifiable, sustainable improvements. • Align operations with a balanced scorecard covering financial, operational, and employee engagement goals. • Identify and act on opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, job cost, and employee engagement. • Recruit, develop, coach, and manage performance of a multidisciplinary team while establishing departmental procedures. • Seek improvement opportunities in support areas, including the supply chain, to create financial synergies and enhance service delivery. • Contribute to plant budget development and meet budgetary expectations. • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external clients and vendors, turning them into advocates and partners. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to increase efficiency, profitability, quality, and safety. • Oversee personnel involved in manufacturing operations, focusing on alignment, talent, engagement, and retention. • Manage the full scope of processes, procedures, equipment, and execution strategies for the plant. • Provide strategic and tactical input to the VP of Manufacturing on project manufacturing support and execution. • Participate in production hours estimating and deliver constructability and risk analysis for project pursuits. • Conduct and implement all manufacturing processes, including hazard analysis and safety procedures. • Maintain accountability, results‑orientation, and strong financial and analytical capabilities.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Science Management, Business Administration, or a related field. • Bring 10+ years of manufacturing management experience, with at least 5 years in Lean Manufacturing. • Possess Six Sigma Black Belt certification (beneficial) and P&L management experience. • Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and time‑management skills with a sense of urgency. • Exhibit expertise in Lean manufacturing, change management, and process excellence.
