About the Role

• Provide technical and business input to sales/operations for construction or owner projects • Ensure projects are correctly booked and all required forms are completed • Distribute project documents, estimates, and information to relevant personnel • Verify alignment of customer expectations with Climatec’s estimate or contract scope and communicate feedback • Identify and resolve potential project issues • Accurately forecast project costs and track performance against budget and forecasts • Invoice projects promptly and actively manage collections to minimize aging • Coordinate material orders and timing with the Material Coordinator to optimize cash flow and handling; ensure equipment compatibility • Coordinate with subcontractors or internal installation teams to maximize installation value • Complete the monthly work‑in‑process (WIP) re‑forecast • Recommend technical solutions to sales and operations and assist during the estimating phase • Identify change‑order opportunities and collaborate with sales to document and secure them • Support Climatec and other contractors in solving building operating issues beyond controls • Communicate with internal staff to ensure accurate, timely labor and productivity • Lead and contribute to accurate estimation, design, installation, start‑up, commissioning, and training of building systems • Liaise with external engineers, owners, and contractors to ensure timely engineering • Provide ongoing service engineering support for existing building systems • Review engineered submittals for scope, budget, customer expectations, and standards; advise supervisors on employee performance • Interpret and manage billing processes, including schedules of values • Apply budgeting principles for development, tracking, and forecasting • Lift and carry ladders, drawings, computers, and materials; lift up to 50 lb+ • Stand, walk, and climb on construction sites for extended periods; climb multiple flights of stairs or ladders daily • Maintain a satisfactory driving record to operate a company vehicle

Project manager levels range from Assistant, who supports senior staff and requires a minimum one‑year apprenticeship before promotion, to Level I, which demands independent task completion under timely supervision. Level II managers consistently meet all objectives and mentor Level I staff, while Senior managers possess deep system knowledge, lead complex projects, and provide mentorship and supervision as needed. Only individuals authorized to work indefinitely in the United States may apply, and future sponsorship for work authorization is not available. • Hold a high school diploma (minimum); technical or undergraduate degree in electronics, electrical, construction management, or related field is preferred • Possess 5+ years of HVAC and/or building automation project management experience • Understand profit and loss statements and their impact on project and departmental performance • Operate basic computer systems and troubleshoot simple computer problems • Communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written forms • Empathetically understand stakeholder issues and work creatively toward successful outcomes • Preferred: 7+ years HVAC/building automation project management experience • Preferred: Some programming experience • Preferred: Proficiency with electronic test equipment (volt meter, amp meter, oscilloscope) • Preferred: Ability to troubleshoot basic electric/electronic circuitry and read diagrams • Preferred: Working knowledge of AC power circuitry, breakers, and multi‑phase systems (120 V AC and above) • Senior and Level 2 PMs possess deep knowledge of DDC and building control systems and provide extensive integration support • Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, and work in varied environments including outdoor, mechanical rooms, and extreme weather • Exposure to live voltage, moving mechanical parts, heavy machinery, wet/humid conditions, elevated locations, airborne particles, fumes, electrical hazards, vibrations, and occasional toxic chemicals • Possess accurate color vision and clear visual acuity
