About the Role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical components in commercial settings while ensuring personal and workplace safety. The position requires adherence to local, state, and national electrical codes and may involve varied duties beyond those listed. Core duties include planning layouts, installing wiring and conduit, connecting components, testing circuits with specialized equipment, inspecting for hazards, diagnosing malfunctions, and reading blueprints. The technician must collaborate with other trades, maintain a clean work area, and follow pre‑job planning and safety procedures. • Plan and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures per specifications and codes • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and components • Test circuits and systems using meters, oscilloscopes, and other testing devices • Inspect systems for hazards, defects, and code compliance • Install conduit, pull insulated cables, and complete circuit runs • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical equipment • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams • Collaborate with tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget • Ensure safety compliance, conduct pre‑job planning, and maintain a clean work area • Attend daily toolbox meetings and adhere to PPE and site safety rules
