About the Role

The Facilities Technician – Plumber will undertake general maintenance and repairs, respond to unexpected events, and drive continuous improvement solutions. Responsibilities include scheduled maintenance, first‑response and reactive tasks to minimise disruption, and completing work safely to meet client and contract requirements. You will also coordinate other trades, ensure plumbing services remain operational, and deliver quality outcomes with attention to detail. Downer plans, creates and sustains essential public services across Australia and New Zealand, managing critical infrastructure such as hospitals, data centres and defence partnerships. What You Bring

Key qualifications include being a NZ Certified Plumber or Tradesman Plumber, the ability to work unsupervised while delivering safe, high‑quality work, and holding a full‑class one driver’s licence for manual vehicles. Physical fitness for regular bending and lifting is required, along with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to client satisfaction. • Hold NZ Certified Plumber (or Tradesman) qualification and work unsupervised delivering quality results. • Possess a full‑class one manual driver’s licence and be physically fit for regular bending and lifting. • Demonstrate strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes.
