About the Role

The Junior Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Engineer (in training) will support the expansion of Parsons’ remediation technology services, including PFAS remediation, AFFF cleanouts, and thermal remediation, while also contributing to traditional investigation and consulting projects. Key duties include providing technical support for remediation modeling, design, and construction, coordinating soil and groundwater investigations, creating project spreadsheets and design drawings, and assisting with field work for Phase I and II assessments across Canada, which may require up to 25‑50% travel. • Provide technical support on remediation modeling, estimating, design, and construction of proprietary systems • Coordinate soil and groundwater investigations and deliver environmental site assessment reports • Develop and manage project spreadsheets for modeling and data analysis • Produce design drawings and project packets for assigned projects • Attend proposal and project meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items • Support process optimization and new technology implementation (software, data visualization, AI, forms digitization) • Assist field work for Remediation Phase I and II assessments • Aid remedial planning, site remediation oversight, excavations, and in‑situ methodologies • Support commissioning and operation of remediation systems across Canada (travel up to 25‑50%) • Learn, advocate, train, and improve project processes (fieldwork, scheduling, reporting, health & safety, training)

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, possess experience in technical or consulting work, and demonstrate strong knowledge of geological, hydrogeological, chemical, and process engineering principles, as well as hands‑on mechanical aptitude and proficiency with software such as SQL, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office. Preferred candidates are eligible for a P.Eng. license, have familiarity with remediation technologies and AutoCAD, are comfortable using databases, GIS, and AI tools, and exhibit intellectual curiosity, leadership potential, and an engaging personality for team‑building activities. • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, chemical, process, mechanical engineering or related field • Experience in technical, engineering, or consulting work • Strong understanding of geological, hydrogeological, chemical, and process engineering principles for remediation • Hands‑on mechanical aptitude with pumps, mixers, reactors, etc. • Proficiency with SQL, programming, modeling, ArcGIS, Power Automate, and Microsoft Office suite • Strong technical writing, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical reports • Ability to travel within Canada and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams • Eligible to obtain a Professional Engineering License (P.Eng.) • Familiarity with environmental remediation technologies and AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT • Broad environmental and engineering consulting knowledge • Savvy with databases, GIS, AI tools, and related software packages • Intellectual curiosity and self‑directed learning motivation • Engaging personality for leading social and team‑building events • Leadership potential, coachability, and collaborative mindset
