About the Role
• Analyze and prepare complete boundary surveys by compiling record data and ensuring accurate property line locations. • Perform quality control reviews on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents for accuracy and completeness. • Assist staff in preparing reports, findings, plans, and other contract documents. • Organize and coordinate field and office staff to complete design, field, and other tasks on complex projects. • Assist in preparing project and task work plans. • Provide direction to staff to achieve project objectives. • Monitor work efforts of assigned staff, sub‑consultants, and contractors.

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a talented CADD Operator to join our Survey/Geospatial team. In this office‑based, design‑focused role you will transform field data into precise survey deliverables that support impactful transportation projects in the New York metro area. The position offers the chance to apply AutoCAD and survey‑mapping expertise on high‑profile projects while growing your career with a leading survey and geospatial team. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree or technical experience preferred, and at least one year of surveying experience, preferably on DOT projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required, and experience with MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, 3D scanning registration, or construction surveying is a plus. A valid driver’s license and strong English communication skills are also needed. • High School Diploma/GED required; associate degree or equivalent technical experience preferred. • At least 1 + year of related surveying experience; experience on DOT projects preferred. • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency required; MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads proficiency highly preferred. • Proficient with various data techniques and coding systems. • Advanced knowledge of surveying instruments, techniques, computations, angular and linear measurement systems, trigonometry, and geometry. • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle (MVR will be checked). • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job‑related communications. • Construction surveying experience a plus. • 3D scanning registration experience a plus.
