About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities focus on the collection of facilities field data for use in updating records and preparing design documents. Tasks include measurement, mapping, field photography, equipment inventory, staking, and other reconnaissance activities performed under the direction of senior technical or engineering staff. The incumbent often acts as a design or staking assistant, collaborating with more senior employees in the field. The employee must adhere to and champion Pike Engineering’s Core Values and fully comply with the Safety Manual, actively participating in all safety initiatives. Accurate and neat data gathering must be performed using paper drawings, electronic devices, digital cameras, or other specified formats. The incumbent is expected to correctly identify items for documentation with minimal supervisory assistance. Quick adoption of handheld data‑collection tools such as laser range finders, GPS receivers, and digital cameras is required, along with precise recording of measurements and dimensions per project specifications. The role may involve assisting in power restoration efforts during natural disasters and meeting production targets and project milestones, with occasional overnight travel.
