About the Role

The Senior Transportation Project Manager will oversee multi‑disciplinary transportation projects in Lexington, KY, providing leadership, technical guidance, and ensuring successful delivery across local, state, and federal initiatives. • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, partners, and stakeholders. • Identify, pursue, and win surface transportation and infrastructure design projects. • Serve as lead engineer, approving and signing off on local, state, and federal project work. • Provide technical expertise for transportation studies and design efforts. • Perform technical reviews of work developed by others. • Interact proactively with clients to ensure satisfaction and address service issues. • Drive performance of a portfolio of transportation projects. • Collaborate with peers and leaders across AECOM U.S. West Transportation Group. • Contribute to development of technical proposals. • Use transportation design software such as OpenRoads, Microstation, and InRoads. • Apply strong knowledge of transportation industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

What You Bring

• Hold a BS/BA with at least 10 years of relevant experience (or equivalent education). • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). • Demonstrate project management experience on roadway/highway projects. • Have a minimum of 8 years transportation engineering and project management experience. • Maintain or obtain a Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) license within one year. • Exhibit leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities. • Communicate effectively in client‑facing roles and presentations. • Leverage analytical problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools efficiently. • Exhibit detail‑orientation, organization, and time‑management proficiency. • Thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and adapt to new technologies.
