About the Role

The role reports directly to the Project Director and carries responsibility for supervising all lifting operations for SAPL Qiddiya Infrastructure Partner (QIDP). The incumbent must ensure full coordination with Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC), which provides strategic city‑wide direction. Key duties include developing and implementing lifting plans that adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices. The supervisor oversees the setup, rigging, and execution of simple, complicated, and complex lifts across worksites, leading a team of contractor crane operators, riggers, and banksmen to achieve safe and efficient operations. Health, safety and environment initiatives are prioritized, with the supervisor conducting regular equipment inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with international standards and LOLER regulations. The role also serves as the primary contact for lifting‑related queries, provides guidance to stakeholders, and facilitates training and development for lifting personnel. Accurate documentation of lift plans, risk assessments, and equipment inspections is maintained, and corrective actions are implemented as needed. Collaboration with other departments and external stakeholders minimizes operational disruptions and supports seamless project delivery. • Supervise planning, rigging, and execution of simple to complex lifts. • Lead contractor crane operators, riggers, and banksmen to ensure safe, efficient operations. • Develop lifting plans compliant with policies, regulations, and industry best practices. • Prioritize health, safety, and environment initiatives; conduct equipment inspections and audits. • Provide guidance on lifting queries, facilitate training, and maintain accurate lift documentation. • Ensure compliance with international standards and LOLER regulations.

What You Bring

Candidates must be a qualified Appointed Person with at least 15 years of experience in construction lifting operations, particularly on projects requiring complex lifts and multiple types of equipment. Preference is given to those with extensive experience on large PM/CM contracts, a Project Management certification, and strong written and spoken English communication skills. The position demands demonstrated teamwork and management abilities, familiarity with various crane and lifting equipment, and a solid understanding of the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. Additional competencies include stakeholder management, matrix‑organization navigation, senior‑level interaction, effective time‑management, and strong contractor management skills. • Minimum 15 years' experience in construction lifting operations, including complex projects. • Qualified Appointed Person with strong written and spoken English communication skills. • Project Management certification and experience with large PM/CM contracts preferred. • Demonstrated teamwork, stakeholder management, and strong contractor management abilities.
