About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing the end‑to‑end delivery of major projects valued between $20 million and $100 million+, which are characterized by high complexity, risk, and exposure. The role ensures that each project is completed within the defined scope, budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements. In a people‑leadership capacity, the manager fully engages in talent acquisition, provides mentoring and coaching, evaluates compensation, and manages performance for all team members. They also supervise the Project Management Team, establishing objectives, development plans, and serving as a role model and mentor. Key execution duties include defining project scope and deliverables, preparing work breakdown structures, and managing all aspects of the project lifecycle such as schedule, finances, reporting, risk, procurement, contracting, commissioning, and close‑out. The manager monitors design and implementation, oversees change management and contract administration, chairs project meetings, and ensures compliance with environmental, health, safety, and other regulatory standards. The position requires building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded and representing client interests in contractual and technical matters. • Recruit, mentor, and coach project team members, including performance and compensation decisions. • Supervise and develop the Project Management Team, setting objectives and development plans. • Define project scope, deliverables, and requirements; prepare work breakdown structures and compliance charts. • Manage project schedule, budget, financial reporting, and risk mitigation plans. • Oversee change management, contract administration, and payment certifications. • Conduct and chair project and site meetings, coordinating resolutions among stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, health, and safety standards. • Maintain client satisfaction and represent client interests in contractual and technical matters. • Develop and sustain relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams. • Manage procurement, tendering, and construction phases, including consultant and contractor selection. • Control budgets exceeding $30 million and deliver projects on time and within specifications. • Lead risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning throughout project lifecycle.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates hold a university degree or professional certification in architectural, engineering, or construction management fields, possess over ten years of professional experience with at least five years in project management, and have extensive experience with various delivery models, public procurement, and budgets exceeding $30 million. Strong communication, negotiation, risk mitigation, vendor management, and quality‑improvement skills are essential, as is proficiency with the MS Office suite. Professional credentials such as PMI accreditation, P.Eng, LEED certification, or other relevant designations are considered assets, as is a Federal Security Clearance at the Reliability level or eligibility. • Apply knowledge of design‑build, construction management, and design‑bid‑build delivery models. • Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. • Hold or pursue professional credentials such as PMI, P.Eng, LEED, or relevant engineering/architecture certifications. • Possess a valid Federal Security Clearance at Reliability level or eligibility.

Benefits
This is a regular, full‑time hybrid position with an annual salary range of $75,374 to $94,218, determined by the candidate’s competencies, experience, education, and professional designations.
