About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, delivering courteous and complete waste removal services, and ensuring the vehicle complies with company safety standards. The driver must adhere to all company, state, and federal regulations and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. Key duties include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, operating the truck along designated routes, loading and compacting waste, and disposing of it at the proper facility. The driver interacts courteously with customers and dispatchers, tags unsatisfactory containers, monitors waste for unacceptable material, cleans spills, maintains vehicle readiness, and completes required productivity and condition reports while following safety policies and participating in the ReSOP program. • Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues • Safely operate the collection truck along assigned routes using route sheets and maps • Lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste using manual or automatic controls • Provide courteous service to customers, dispatchers, and coworkers • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per procedures • Monitor waste for unacceptable material and safely clean accidental spills • Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body during each disposal trip • Complete route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other required documentation • Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely customer service • Follow all safety policies, participate in the ReSOP program, and perform other assigned duties • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks
