About the Role
The role focuses on developing basic bridge engineering skills, applying learned techniques, and preparing accurate engineering designs and technical data. Responsibilities include performing structural calculations under supervision, assisting with inspections, report writing, permit applications, and CAD work, and utilizing MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D. The engineer will apply relevant structural codes and perform basic concrete and steel design for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and related structures while using software such as MathCAD, Enercalc, Midas, or STAAD. • Acquire knowledge and develop basic skills in bridge engineering. • Apply learned techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks. • Prepare general engineering designs and technical data for accuracy. • Perform structural calculations on project components under supervision. • Assist with structural inspections, report writing, permit applications, and CAD work. • Work within MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete projects. • Apply structural codes (IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, AISC, AASHTO) to designs. • Perform basic concrete and steel design for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and related structures.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering; Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification is preferred. Proficiency with Civil 3D and MicroStation CAD software is desired, along with the ability to learn technical skills, collaborate effectively, and communicate proficiently in English. • Utilize structural software (MathCAD, Enercalc, Midas, STAAD) at a basic level. • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (required). • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred. • Increasing proficiency with Civil 3D and MicroStation CAD software preferred. • Demonstrate ability to learn and apply technical skills. • Communicate proficiently in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Compensation ranges from $71,677 to $78,850 per year, depending on qualifications.
