About the Role
The role focuses on developing and creating schematics and layouts of control panels for various HVAC equipment using EPLAN software. This includes both conceptual designs and parametric modeling, and the incumbent may also coach and mentor less experienced team members. Key responsibilities include developing CAD models and drawings, collaborating with other designers and engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems, and working with engineering management to complete assigned projects. The specialist supports the production team during prototype development and launch, serves as the point of contact for manufacturing issues, and seeks to implement new ideas and technologies while helping to establish design standards. Additionally, the role provides complete bills of material, adheres to safety standards such as UL, CE, NEC, IBC, and NFPA, and maintains comprehensive project documentation with version control. • Create control panel schematics and layouts using EPLAN for HVAC equipment. • Produce conceptual designs and parametric models. • Mentor less experienced team members. • Develop CAD models and drawings, incorporating new technologies. • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and management to integrate electrical systems. • Support production during prototypes and launch, resolving manufacturing issues. • Implement new ideas and technologies and help establish design standards. • Generate complete bills of material, specifying part usage. • Ensure compliance with safety standards (UL, CE, NEC, IBC, NFPA). • Maintain project documentation, change logs, and version control. • Attend educational workshops to keep technical knowledge current.

What You Bring
Qualifications include a preferred two‑year technical degree and at least five years of experience in the HVAC industry or a comparable field. Candidates must excel in electrical and controls analysis, demonstrate strong design aptitude, and possess effective written and verbal communication skills. They should also show good interpersonal abilities, sound decision‑making, analytical problem‑solving, multitasking, and organizational capabilities, thriving in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure team environment. The work environment involves frequent exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and occasional chemical fumes, requiring the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods. Office work is performed in a climate‑controlled setting, and occasional travel may be required. • Hold a two‑year technical degree (preferred) and 5 years HVAC experience. • Demonstrate strong electrical, controls, and design analysis skills. • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Exhibit strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, multitasking, and organizational abilities. • Work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure team environment. • Adapt to manufacturing settings with temperature extremes, dust, and chemical fumes; occasional travel.
