Logistics Analyst

About the Role

A Logistics Analyst coordinates drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity, and provide prompt, courteous service to customers. The role also oversees safety, customer experience, and overall productivity within the organization. Key responsibilities include ensuring safety policy compliance, analyzing and adjusting daily routes for efficiency, and using the internal routing platform to respond to same‑day or next‑day service changes. The analyst must close routes accurately, resolve transit issues, manage driver safety and performance, and interpret logistics data to improve routing accuracy. • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures. • Analyze daily route data and adjust routing for efficiency and accuracy. • Respond to same‑day and next‑day service changes using the routing platform. • Close routes on time with accurate data verification. • Proactively resolve transit issues and support drivers in real time. • Manage driver safety, security of assets, and performance evaluation. • Collect, interpret, and act on logistics data to improve routing accuracy. • Design routes that maximize capacity, profitability, and swing opportunities. • Monitor disposal plans and coordinate with Operations Manager on site assignments. • Address missed pickups, educate drivers, and implement preventive strategies. • Communicate courteously with customers and keep call‑center information current. • Prioritize customer promises and maintain universal service commitments.

What You Bring

Customer experience is central to the position, requiring courteous interactions, proactive route design to prevent service issues, and constant communication with drivers and the call center. The analyst prioritizes customer promises, updates customers on delays, and works to reduce missed pickups while maintaining universal service commitments. Qualifications include strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
