About the Role
The Construction Supervisor (CS) is a field‑leadership role overseeing three to six residential and small‑commercial solar installation crews. The CS ensures safety, quality, efficiency, and a positive customer experience while organizing, motivating, managing, and training crew members each day. This position reports to the Branch Operations Manager and works closely with the Project Planner to meet schedule and capacity targets. Key duties include maintaining expertise in electrical and construction codes, optimizing crew structures, conducting pre‑construction reviews, and monitoring key performance indicators. The CS leads safety‑toolbox talks, performs quality and safety inspections, and handles administrative tasks such as documentation and time‑card entry. Collaboration with warehouse staff and interaction with customers and inspectors are also essential. • Maintain advanced knowledge of electrical and construction codes; act as branch subject‑matter expert. • Coordinate with Branch Operations Manager and Project Planner to adjust construction capacity and execute schedules. • Organize crew structures, optimize work schedules, and conduct pre‑construction reviews to allocate resources. • Communicate KPI targets, monitor crew performance, and provide feedback and performance management. • Lead training on safety, quality, customer service, efficiency and administrative tasks. • Perform quality‑control and safety inspections; document findings for engineering and operations. • Manage daily administrative duties such as training records, inspection reports, project documentation, purchase orders and timecards. • Conduct weekly “Tool Box Talk” safety meetings and ensure proper use of PPE and fall protection. • Collaborate with warehouse staff to stock installation vehicles and materials efficiently. • Oversee mechanical and electrical work on roof‑ and ground‑mounted solar projects and interact professionally with customers and inspectors.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma, at least five years of construction experience (including two in a leadership role), and a valid electrical certification license. Strong communication, people‑management, and organizational skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and project‑management tools. A clean driving record, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to meet physical job demands are also necessary. • High school diploma or equivalent plus minimum 5 years construction experience, including 2 years in a leadership role. • Valid Electrical Certification License and knowledge of NEC and applicable codes. • Strong mechanical/construction skills; ability to lead roof and ground solar installations. • Excellent communication, people‑management, organizational and time‑management abilities. • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and project‑management tools (e.g., MS Project). • Current CPR and First Aid certifications; clean driving record and valid driver’s license (21+ years old). • Ability to lift 50 lb regularly, climb a 20‑ft ladder, and work in various positions (stooping, kneeling, etc.). • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and on elevated surfaces. • Adequate visual and hearing acuity to follow instructions and operate equipment.
