About the Role
A strong adherence to quality is essential, including performing quality checks, following established procedures, complying with safety and industrial hygiene standards, and keeping the work area organized according to 5S. Routine preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment is also required to ensure peak performance. Team collaboration is vital; you will work with colleagues to complete assignments, use customer and product information to guide your work, and apply analytical problem‑solving skills to remove production obstacles. Lean initiatives and suggestions for improvement in quality, processes, and safety are encouraged, and flexibility for overtime is expected. • Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to move heavy loads. • De‑scale pretreatment tanks and maintain the burn‑off oven. • Conduct visual inspections for proper film thickness and appearance. • Adjust powder flow from oscillating heads as needed. • Perform quality checks and follow standard operating procedures. • Maintain a clean, organized work area in line with 5S standards. • Execute routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment. • Collaborate with team members to meet customer orders and production goals. • Suggest and implement Lean improvements for quality, processes, and safety. • Work flexible hours and overtime to support business needs. • Lift light loads on/off the paint line as required.

What You Bring
The role requires a clean‑shaven appearance or willingness to shave, and the ability to hand‑lift light loads on and off the paint line. You will operate material‑handling equipment such as forklifts, de‑scale pretreatment tanks, run and maintain the burn‑off oven, perform visual inspections of cooled parts for film thickness and appearance, and adjust powder flow from oscillating heads. Candidates must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship, reside within a 50‑mile radius of Sumter, SC, and have prior experience in painting within a fabrication environment or be willing to learn forklift operation. Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills are required. • Comply with safety and industrial hygiene requirements, using PPE correctly. • Identify and resolve production obstacles using analytical problem‑solving skills. • Maintain a clean‑shaven appearance or be willing to shave. • Possess prior painting experience in a fabrication environment. • Have forklift experience or willingness to learn. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and persuasive skills. • Be authorized to work in the U.S. without corporate sponsorship. • Live within 50 miles of Sumter, SC.
