What You Bring

Technicians at Republic Services maintain the performance and quality of the fleet by performing routine and preventive maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. The two‑year apprenticeship trains entry‑level technicians in electrical diagnostics, HVAC, wheel end assemblies, air systems, air brakes, hydraulics, and overall truck preventative maintenance. Successful apprentices must be logical problem solvers with enthusiasm for vehicle engineering and must uphold the company’s values. During the apprenticeship, participants gain hands‑on experience with routine preventive maintenance tasks such as tire work, wheel‑end components, hydraulics, and electrical systems, while also developing leadership and life‑skill competencies. Graduates receive certification as entry‑level diesel mechanics, a company‑provided toolbox, uniform, boots, and guaranteed consideration for a full‑time technician position. Applicants must commit to completing the two‑year program, be logical problem solvers with an interest in engineering, and be willing to work flexible schedules that may include nights, weekends, or holidays. They must also be willing to relocate to Dallas for the initial training and, after graduation, to any assigned location nationwide. Training starts on March 23, 2026. • Dedicated mentor and supervision by fleet maintenance managers
