About the Role
All Water Environment team members engage in client contact and commercial aspects while upholding health, safety, and environmental standards, and senior geomorphologists mentor peers and junior staff. • Re‑meandering detailed design and construction supervision for the River Breamish (River Till‑Tweed SSSI and SAC, Northumberland). • Re‑meandering detailed design and construction supervision for the River Eye SSSI (Leicestershire). • Re‑meandering modelling and design for the River Cocker (Cumbria). • Landscape‑scale river restoration and natural flood management planning in the North York Moors National Park. • Weir removals and fish pass installations across England, Wales, and Scotland. • River basin‑scale restoration planning for the Environment Agency and multiple water companies. • Programme delivery for Water Framework Directive, Biodiversity Net Gain and MoRPh surveys across the UK and Ireland.

What You Bring
We are seeking an experienced Geomorphologist and River Restoration Project Lead for our UK Water team, responsible for planning, managing, modelling, and designing sustainable geomorphology and river restoration schemes across national and international projects. The role requires technical excellence in geomorphology, hydromorphology, river restoration, detailed river engineering design, contractor supervision, CDM regulations, hydraulic and sediment transport modelling, and coordinating multi‑discipline teams. Candidates should hold a degree in geography, physical sciences, engineering or a related field, have proven river restoration experience, extensive project management expertise, and strong communication and leadership skills with multidisciplinary stakeholders. • Degree in geography, physical sciences, engineering or a related discipline. • Proven experience in river restoration projects. • Extensive project management and delivery expertise. • Excellent communication, engagement, and leadership skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
