About the Role

The Journeyperson Electrician position, reporting to the Production Supervisor within the Electrical department, is open across all shifts and multiple locations for Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership, a Johnson Controls business. This role is chiefly responsible for installing and terminating conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and a variety of control components, as well as constructing and fabricating control panels and interlocking wiring systems. The electrician will interpret blueprints and schematics, follow vendor manuals, complete daily work orders, and maintain detailed maintenance reports while supervising apprentices and ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, NFPA, and UFC standards. They will also monitor parts usage, assist in preventive‑maintenance scheduling, and propose improvements to increase system efficiency. • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and vendor manuals to determine work procedures. • Install and terminate conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and control components. • Construct and fabricate control panels, rough and finish wiring, and interlocking wiring systems. • Perform wiring checkout and ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, NFPA, and UFC standards. • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and devices. • Complete and update daily work orders and detailed maintenance documentation. • Supervise, train, and certify apprentices and junior employees. • Monitor parts usage and report material issues. • Assist in developing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules. • Propose modifications to plans to improve system operation and efficiency. • Maintain knowledge of evolving technology, compliance requirements, and repair techniques. • Follow Silent‑Aire safety program and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations. • Provide mentorship and supervision to apprentices.

What You Bring

The position requires a licensed Journeyperson Electrician with experience in troubleshooting, machinery repair, and reading technical drawings, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to work under pressure with meticulous attention to detail. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, team attitude, and diplomatic interpersonal skills, and will be expected to adhere to Silent‑Aire’s safety program and Alberta OHS regulations. • Hold a valid Journeyperson Electrician licence. • Demonstrate experience with machinery assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting, and repair. • Exhibit strong blueprint reading, analytical, and communication skills. • Work effectively under pressure with high attention to detail. • Demonstrate professional, diplomatic interpersonal conduct and a positive team attitude.
