About the Role
Provide leadership, management and supervision necessary for planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. The foreman coordinates craft persons, ensures resources for safe, correct, and efficient work, and collaborates with other foremen or crews to maintain workflow and schedule. All required licenses for the jurisdiction must be held. The role emphasizes a safe, clean work environment, high‑quality performance, and active participation in safety, quality, production and planning meetings. The foreman ensures crew evaluations, promotes continuous improvement, monitors timesheet and productivity accuracy, and develops weekly and daily work plans while supporting company policies and “The Sundt Way.” The position is classified as safety‑sensitive because tasks can affect the safety and health of the employee and others, including operation of vehicles, equipment, power tools, and handling of hazardous or flammable materials. • Maintain positive working relationships with other foremen and crews. • Ensure a safe and clean work environment while delivering high‑quality work. • Participate in safety, quality, production, and planning meetings. • Conduct crew member evaluations and performance agreements. • Champion and promote a continuous improvement culture. • Verify accuracy of timesheets, quantity, and productivity reports. • Develop one‑week and daily work plans; provide feedback on the six‑week schedule and understand the critical path. • Establish weekly production goals and execute work on time and under budget. • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and “The Sundt Way.” • Coach and mentor crew members to achieve their full potential. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. • Lift, push or pull objects up to 50 lb occasionally.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least four years of industrial/commercial electrical construction experience, deep knowledge of the trade, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Leadership, safety, quality and productivity standards must be set and upheld for the crew. Physical demands include up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical work in varying temperatures, climbing ladders or scaffolds, lifting or moving objects up to 50 lb, and frequent use of hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling or bending, while wearing required personal protective equipment and complying with safety standards. • Minimum four years’ experience in industrial/commercial electrical construction. • In‑depth understanding of the electrical trade. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Frequent hand use for grasping, lifting, handling, carrying or feeling objects. • Frequent reaching above shoulder height and below waist; occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending. • Required use of personal protective equipment (steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.). • Ability to work in confined, cluttered and uneven areas. • Limited use of telephone, computer, email or other electronic devices for communication.
