About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Construction Supervisor will oversee and manage delivery of capital works projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires a strong practical understanding of the gas industry and proven experience managing both internal crews and subcontractor teams. • Oversee and supervise field and contract personnel delivering capital gas projects. • Plan, schedule, and issue construction work to field crews and subcontractors. • Ensure employee and subcontractor performance complies with Downer, client, and regulatory policies. • Support Project/Site Manager with site requirements, crew availability, and cost‑efficient day‑to‑day operations. • Assist with project scoping and estimating.

What You Bring
• Certificate III/IV in Gas Supply Industry Operations, Utilities, or related field. • Trade background in gas, plumbing, or civil construction (desirable). • 3–5 years experience in gas distribution or utility planning, preferably in South Australian domestic/metropolitan networks. • Hold a White Card (Construction Induction) and a current driver’s licence; SA Gas Distribution Network induction or willingness to obtain. • Training in pipeline safety, confined spaces, or live‑gas environments (desirable). • Proficient with work management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and Microsoft Office.
