About the Role

In this position you will oversee cost management, procurement and contractual governance across large infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance and robust control throughout the commercial lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers and contractors to set realistic cost targets and contractual terms while continuously improving risk management and value delivery. • Provide expert advice on cost, procurement and contractual strategy. • Manage the full commercial lifecycle from feasibility to dispute resolution. • Maintain governance, compliance and control of all commercial activities. • Collaborate with project managers and contractors on cost targets and contracts. • Drive continuous improvement in commercial risk management and value delivery. • Influence and engage stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams. • Participate in 24/7 incident support as required.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a relevant qualification in construction or quantity surveying and has proven experience managing commercial aspects of large‑scale utility or construction projects. Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement skills, and an ability to influence across teams are essential; experience within the water sector is a plus. • Demonstrate strong understanding of NEC contracts and post‑contract strategy. • Hold a relevant construction or quantity surveying qualification. • Possess experience in commercial management of large‑scale infrastructure projects. • Exhibit strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement capabilities. • Utility or water sector experience is desirable.
