Job Highlights
About the Role
• Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de‑energized overhead work safely. • Lead crew members in the foreman’s absence. • String overhead wire, set poles and anchors, and install transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. • Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems, replace cutout fuses, and clear faulted circuits. • Work with high‑voltage energized systems, identifying primary/secondary voltage and induced voltage, and follow grounding procedures. • Operate at heights and confined spaces, install/remove PPE, climb various structures, and use phasing sticks to phase out lines. • Plan safe work using job prints or work orders, conduct pre‑job/tailgate briefings, and safely perform reconductoring and mechanical jumper installations. • Use load‑bust tools, obtain one‑shot on reclosers, and perform other related tasks as needed. • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good condition. • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including inclement weather. • Travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at various locations. • Lift more than 50 lb and properly inspect rubber goods and PPE. • Adhere to company safety rules and policies.

What You Bring
The Class A Lineman is a skilled role responsible for construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. Work locations vary and may require travel to another state depending on customer demands. Physical demands include regular talking, hearing, standing, walking, and using hands, with the ability to lift over 50 lb and perform rigorous labor in inclement weather. • Minimum five years recent field experience. • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. • Obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days (CDL preferred). • Self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and customer‑focused.
