About the Role

The SAP HR Payroll Systems Test Analyst ensures payroll systems are accurate, compliant, and reliable across Australia and New Zealand, delivering high‑quality testing outcomes for Industrial Instrument Agreement builds, Enterprise Agreement changes, and system support activities. Working within the People Services team at the Business Services Centre, the analyst develops, executes, and maintains test cases across multiple HR and payroll platforms, partnering closely with HR, IR, IT, and business stakeholders to support accurate payroll outcomes and effective system change delivery. The role operates under organisational safety, quality, and compliance standards while contributing to continuous‑improvement initiatives that enhance testing practices, quality outcomes, and service delivery. • Develop, maintain, and execute test cases in qTest Case Management for payroll system changes and configurations. • Deliver testing for IIA and Enterprise Agreement builds, system enhancements, and support fixes. • Ensure IR and business requirements are understood and reflected in test coverage. • Execute test scripts, record and categorise defects, and manage issues through to resolution. • Provide test results, completion reports, and evidence for UAT sign‑off. • Produce regular test progress and status reports for stakeholders. • Collaborate with HR, IR, IT, and vendor teams across on‑shore and off‑shore delivery models. • Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance testing practices and service delivery. • Work for an ASX‑listed company with market‑leading projects. • Diversity and inclusion initiatives, supporting under‑represented groups.

What You Bring

• Experience testing HR or payroll systems in a large, complex environment. • Strong understanding of payroll processes, industrial instruments, award interpretation, and system configurations; SAP Payroll experience required (Quintiq advantageous). • Proven ability to develop and execute test cases on HR/payroll platforms. • Solid knowledge of testing lifecycles, defect management, and quality assurance principles. • Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and validation. • Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholder engagement ability. • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage competing priorities. • Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent practical experience in payroll systems testing or configuration.
