About the Role

The technician is responsible for mechanical fault‑finding, repairs and maintenance on a wide range of production assets, including machine tools and chemical process lines. You will collaborate with other skilled tradesmen to support the Manufacturing Services Leader and Engineers, ensuring organisational objectives are met. Key duties include putting safety first by maintaining equipment to the highest standards, making a difference in the Engine Build facility, and developing your expertise across a wide range of machinery with a clear career path. • Perform mechanical fault‑finding, repairs and maintenance on machine tools and chemical process lines. • Collaborate with skilled tradesmen to support Manufacturing Services Leader and Engineers. • Ensure equipment safety and availability to meet customer requirements. • Work to engineering drawings and apply mechanical principles, installation and maintenance practices. • Develop expertise across a broad range of equipment with a defined career progression. • Follow a rotating three‑shift schedule (day, night, afternoon) averaging 37.5 hours per week.

What You Bring

Candidates must have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Mechanical/Maintenance apprenticeship, experience with machine tools such as Okuma, Mazak, Danobat, Newall or DMG, and the ability to read engineering drawings and apply mechanical principles. Experience with steam systems is desirable. A Security Check clearance is required (Rolls‑Royce will support the application) and applicants must be UK nationals or MoD‑approved dual nationals.
