About the Role
The employee will read and interpret work instructions, complex drawings, blueprints, and specifications to perform visual and physical inspections of functional measuring equipment and component parts. Using Statistical Process Control and other problem‑solving methodologies, they will detect out‑of‑control conditions, document non‑conformances in the DR System, and complete required inspection paperwork. They will set up and operate various tooling and finishing equipment—including grinders, CNC grinders, laps, and hones—maintain lubricating oils and cutting fluids, and use precision gauges such as micrometers and indicators. Additional duties include cleaning work areas, returning tools to proper locations, performing TPM and 5S tasks, and complying with the Manufacturing Self‑Release Process (MSRP). • Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and specifications. • Perform visual and physical inspections of components using precision gauges. • Apply Statistical Process Control and problem‑solving methods to detect out‑of‑control conditions. • Document non‑conformances in the DR System and complete inspection paperwork. • Set up and operate tooling and finishing equipment (grinders, CNC grinders, laps, hones) independently. • Maintain lubricating oils, cutting fluids, and cleanliness of the work area; return tools to proper locations. • Perform TPM and 5S tasks and adhere to the Manufacturing Self‑Release Process (MSRP). • Identify and report specification or paperwork issues to supervisors.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in assembly, testing, metalworking, maintenance, or mechanical work, with an associate degree or machining certificate preferred. Prior work with hydraulic systems in aviation or military settings and exposure to Lean/Six Sigma principles are desirable. The role requires U.S. person status under ITAR, and no relocation benefits are provided. The position demands a team‑player attitude, strong work ethic, and high manual dexterity for complex assembly. Applicants should possess good written communication skills, the ability to multitask and shift priorities, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with blueprint reading and precision measuring equipment. Experience with numerically controlled machines and grinding equipment is required, as is completion of MSRP training before self‑releasing product.
