About the Role
The role involves performing electrical tests such as HiPot, Shunt Trip, PLC, HMI, component testing, configuration, NETA testing, and communication in accordance with safety and training procedures. The incumbent must ensure that any wiring revisions released to the production floor are incorporated, that documentation reflects the current revision, and that obsolete documents are destroyed. Additionally, they are responsible for including component literature and product documentation, recording non‑conformances, communicating issues to production and design teams, verifying required rework, and preventing unintended use of suspected product. They also serve as an informal trainer for production personnel. • Perform electrical testing (HiPot, Shunt Trip, PLC, HMI, NETA, communication). • Verify incorporation of wiring revisions and update documentation; destroy outdated records. • Ensure component literature and product documentation accompany each job. • Document critical nonconformances for quality records and continuous improvement. • Communicate production non‑conformances and design errors to appropriate personnel and verify rework. • Identify and label suspected product to prevent unintended use. • Provide informal training to production staff. • Maintain competency in UL, NEC, regional utility, and customer‑specific codes. • Read and interpret manufacturing documents, MIs, blow‑thrus, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and testing procedures. • Use multimeters to troubleshoot complex electronics and follow established safety procedures.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold at least a high school diploma or GED, with an associate’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent military technical training preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in electrical testing and wiring of switchboard or power distribution products is required, with five years of testing experience preferred and a BS in engineering or a related technical degree acceptable. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States continuously without sponsorship and commit to a minimum two‑year tenure for full project implementation. The position requires thorough knowledge of basic electricity, current flow, component functionality, and assembled switchboard product designs. Proficiency in UL, NEC, regional utility, and customer‑specific codes, as well as the ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents, wiring diagrams, and testing procedures, is essential. Candidates must be capable of troubleshooting complex electronics with multimeters, follow safety protocols, and lift at least 35 lb with reasonable accommodation, while demonstrating strong verbal and written communication, persuasive, and analytical problem‑solving skills. • Lift a minimum of 35 lb with reasonable accommodation.
