About the Role

The Engineer‑Emissions Compliance Reporting role conducts engineering development tests, including emission and combustion measurements, and manages emission projects by coordinating with departments in Friedrichshafen, Germany and locally. The engineer builds cross‑functional networks to deliver projects, stays current with emission legislation, participates in regulatory meetings, and leads communication with engineering teams and customers. • Conduct emission and combustion test activities. • Manage emission projects and coordinate with Friedrichshafen and local teams. • Build cross‑functional networks to deliver project work. • Monitor emission legislation and attend regulatory meetings. • Lead communication with engineering departments and customers. • Plan, implement, and evaluate measurement technology projects. • Support noise and vibration measurements with experts. • Provide regular project status and resource reports to management. • Promote a compliance culture and maintain a safe work environment. • Execute special projects as required.

What You Bring

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering and at least five years (or nine years total) of experience in emission measurement technology, data acquisition, and internal combustion engine testing. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of emission measurement and after‑treatment technologies, internal combustion engine operation (EGR, SCR), strong interpersonal and communication skills, analytical problem‑solving, ability to meet multiple deadlines, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Proficiency with PC/MS Office, MTU product knowledge, AVL emission equipment experience, and German language skills are also valued. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering. • Minimum 5 years (or 9 years total) experience in emission measurement technology and internal combustion engine testing. • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. • Knowledge of emission measurement and after‑treatment technologies (EGR, SCR). • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and complex problems. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. • Proficiency with PC and MS Office, MTU product knowledge, AVL emission equipment. • German language proficiency (preferred).
