About the Role
Key responsibilities include predictive maintenance and calibration of major plant apparatus, documenting results, and maintaining logs. The incumbent provides technical support to operations, maintenance, and engineering teams, reviews procedures and specifications, and leads the development and implementation of engineering programs. Accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of work are essential, along with adherence to design criteria, codes, and standard practices. The position also covers emergency response, departmental call‑outs, and outage support as needed. • Perform predictive maintenance and calibration testing on major plant apparatus; write reports and maintain logs • Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and engineering, including procedure and specification reviews • Develop, manage, and implement engineering activities and programs • Ensure work is accurate, complete, timely, and complies with design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes • Respond to emergencies, handle call‑outs, and support outage activities across departments

What You Bring
The role performs advanced technical and engineering problem‑solving to support plant operations, coordinating with station engineering to develop and execute condition‑based maintenance (CBM) programs. It requires deep functional knowledge, familiarity with industry codes and regulations, and expertise in generator, voltage regulator, motor, Doble, protective relay testing and calibration, as well as breaker maintenance. Minimum qualifications are an associate’s degree in engineering technology, electronics, or a related field, or a high‑school diploma/GED with at least 18 months trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology. Candidates must show leadership and safety awareness, be able to travel up to 80 %, communicate effectively, and meet the physical demands of a power‑plant environment, including climbing, long‑distance walking, standing for most of the shift, and lifting up to 50 lb. Access and medical clearance requirements must also be satisfied. Preferred qualifications include experience with transformer and motor testing and demonstrated relay calibration expertise. • Associate’s degree in engineering technology, electronics, or related field (or high‑school diploma/GED with 18 months trade/technical training in Power Plant Technology) • Demonstrated leadership and safety focus, efficient equipment use, and team management • Up to 80 % travel required • Strong communication skills in all directions • Ability to work in a power‑plant setting (climbing, walking long distances, standing most of the shift) • Ability to lift up to 50 lb • Meet minimum access and medical examination requirements • Experience with transformer and motor testing • Relay calibration experience
